Two local business owners looking to revive the Stratford Hillers

Two local business owners want to bring the Intercounty Baseball League back to Stratford.

Steve Jarrett and Bill Matetich are spearheading the efforts to resurrect the Stratford Hillers.

They’re looking to get the team on the field at National Stadium for the 2018 season. Matetich says one of the reasons they want to bring the team back is to fill a void in Stratford’s baseball scene:

While they only went public with their plan about a week ago Matetich says they’ve been working on this project for about 11 months already. He adds they’re getting lots of advice from other teams:

A corporate sponsorship drive is set to begin in the fall. You can find more information at the Stratford Hillers’ Facebook page.
