Clinton pair facing charges after OPP officer assaulted

Two people from Clinton have been charged after a scuffle with police.

The Huron County OPP says just after 6:30 p.m. yesterday an officer tried to arrest a man who then resisted.

Police allege during the arrest the man’s girlfriend kicked the officer in the face.

After backup arrived both were arrested.

The 40-year-old man has been hit with three charges including uttering threats and resisting an officer.

The woman, a 33-year-old, is facing two charges including assaulting an officer.
