Forage Genetics International has decided not to sell herbicide-tolerant genetically modified alfalfa this spring.
This has drawn both praise and a sigh of relief from the National Farmers Union.
The NFU staged protests across the country, including right outside of Perth-Wellington MP Gary Schellenberger’s office opposing GM alfalfa.
The group calls it a solution in search of a problem.
