Unifor organizes Toyota plants in Cambridge and Woodstock

The union movement may be on the verge of a big breakthrough in North America.

Factories in Cambridge and Woodstock may soon be the first Toyota plants on the continent to join the ranks of organized labour.

Unifor announced yesterday that enough workers have signed up and it will now file with the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

A vote to unionize could come as early as Monday.
