Drunk driver runs from police

A drunk driver tried to make a run for it but didn’t get very far.

The Perth County OPP noticed a speeding pickup truck on Highway 23 near Palmerston last Thursday.

They tried to pull it over but the driver took off.

He then pulled into a residential drive way, ran through the home and out the back door to try to get away from police.

Officers caught up with the 35-year-old New Brunswick man by following his tracks in the snow.

He faces multiple charges and he failed two breath tests at the OPP detachment.
