The Grand River Conservation Authority is on a flood watch.
The warm weather earlier this week has melted the snowpack.
It has also broken up a lot of ice in the Kitchener and New Hamburg areas.
The GRCA is worried about ice jam flooding.
The risk of rain tonight right through to Saturday could push water levels to the flood threshold.
The conservation authority is keeping an eye on the situation.
