OPAL is inviting you out to its fundraiser; ‘A River Runs Through Us’.
The Oxford People Against the Landfill alliance will be hosting the event on Saturday, April 26.
The goal is to raise money and awareness for OPAL’s continued fight to keep Walker Industries’ proposed landfill out of Oxford County.
Canadian author and activist Maude Barlow, Chippewa author and playwright George Henry and Ingersoll Mayor Ted Comiskey will address the crowd.
In the evening, OPAL is holding a public social event featuring live entertainment, dancing, cash bar and silent auction.
The event will be held in the Ingersoll District Memorial Arena at 97 Mutual Street South.
More information can be found at the OPAL website.
