Della Shilling, 92, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Sunday, October 16, 2016.
Beloved wife of the late Russell Pfeifer and Donald Shilling. Dear mother of Joan Kells and Glenn. Loving grandmother of Donald Kells and Douglas Kells and Samantha. Step-mother of Hugh and David Shilling. Sister of Olive Hoppenrath, Bill Osborn and Ruth, Phyllis Young, Shirley Stahlke and Arden, Betty Kemp and Mike. Sister-in-law of Ted MacDonald. Also surviving are her many nieces and nephews from the Osborn, Pfeifer and Shilling families.
Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Mabel Osborn, son James Pfeifer, step-son Gary Shilling, brother Edward Osborn and Betty, sisters Ida Steinbach and Carl, Marjorie Rock and Ed, Edna Wood and George, Audrey MacDonald and Mildred Sandercott, brothers-in-law Edwin Hoppenrath and Gordon Young.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, Mitchell. Memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Program or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
