Festival announces casting for 2017

The Stratford Festival has announced its cast for next season. The Festival says it’s a diverse, multitalented company that will explore themes of identity.

The cast includes Sean Arbuckle as Nathan Detroit and Blythe Wilson as Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. Sara Farb and Antoine Yared will take the leading roles in Romeo and Juliet.

Ann Swerdfager with the Festival says two favourites are returning for one of Shakespeare’s comedies:

Sarah Afful and Michael Blake are also part of next year’s cast of Twelfth Night as the shipwrecked twins, Viola and Sebastian.

Swerdfager says a favourite and a first-timer will be starring in HMS Pinafore:

In the meantime this season of the Festival wraps up on November 13th with a performance of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
