Scammers pretending to be from Festival Hydro

Festival Hydro is warning residents about a scam. People have reported getting phone calls about overdue accounts.

The caller says if you don’t pay up your power will be shut off in 45 minutes. They then say that the main office is closed to the public because of renovations so people have to use paysafecard at a post office to make the payment.

Festival Hydro says that is not how they do business. They would never demand payment on such short notice and do not tell customers to use paysafecard.

If you have any questions you should call Festival Hydro directly or visit the office.
