The Stratford Minor Baseball Association has changed its nickname. They’re now called the Nationals.
The team is ditching the Indians name and logo.
Jeff Keller with the SMBA says the change has been in the works for a while:
Keller says the new name recognizes the historical connection between baseball and the rail industry in Stratford.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the fundraising campaign towards the purchasing of new Nationals uniforms can do so at Stratford Minor Baseball’s website.
