Police release more details on canine unit arrest

The Stratford Police have released more details on Thursday’s canine takedown on Albert Street.

Police say a wanted man took off running after he was spotted by the police just before 6:00 p.m.

The man tried to disguise himself with blue wind pants.

He also barged into an apartment and demanded a man there spray him with cologne to try to throw Baron, the police dog, off his trail.

It didn’t work and the man was tracked down and arrested.

He’s facing five charges including forcible entry and assault.
