Care-A-Van of Hope pulls in $114,000

The United Way Perth-Huron is pleased with this year’s Care-A-Van of Hope.

It brought in $114,000 surpassing last year by about $25,000.

The Care-A-Van criss-crossed Perth and Huron counties yesterday, picking up donations from Scotiabank branches. Scotiabank matched the donations collected at branches up to $15,000.

United Way Executive Director Ryan Erb says that’s a big help:

Erb says they also use the Care-A-Van to spread the word on what the United Way does:

The United Way is now at 50 per cent of this year’s $1.3 million goal.
