PED hits two more farms

There are now 45 confirmed cases of PED in Ontario.

The virus wormed its way into two more pig farms last Wednesday; one in Huron and the other in Bruce County.

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea has now hit six farms in Perth, six in Huron and nine in Oxford.

The illness poses no threat to humans or to meat quality.

The disease has killed millions of piglets in the United States.

It has also spread to Manitoba, Quebec and PEI.
