OPP taking part in Lock It or Lose It campaign

The Perth County OPP will be checking cars over the holidays. It’s part of the province-wide Lock It or Lose It campaign.

Officers will be out looking to see not only if parked cars have been locked, but if any valuables have been left in plain view.

They’ll then leave a note either congratulating you for securing your vehicle or outlining what you could have done to make your car and belongings more protected from theft.

You’re also urged to not keep personal documents like ownership, pink slips and others in your car as these are prime targets for identity thieves.
