The Perth County OPP says a child luring incident in Listowel didn’t happen.
Yesterday it was reported that a white van pulled up to an 11-year-old girl who was walking home from school. Supposedly a passenger in that van offered her candy to get inside. An investigation showed this did not occur.
The OPP says it takes allegations like this seriously in the interest of public safety. Parents and caregivers are reminded to speak to their children regularly about personal and community safety issues.
