OPP looking for anyone who knew mystery man

The Huron County OPP is asking for the public’s help in solving a mystery.

Back in October the body of a man was found on the shores of Lake Huron just north of Port Albert. The OPP says they have yet to find the man’s next-of-kin despite an exhaustive investigation.

The man identified himself as 57-year-old Mitchell Nelson to a journalist in Espanola in September. He said he was travelling from Alberta to Ontario to visit family and friends in the London area and that he also had relatives around Ottawa.

The OPP says it’s confident someone who knows this man will come forward. If you know him you’re asked to call the Huron County OPP 1-888-310-1122.
