All Aboard St. Marys says freight bypass is good news

All Aboard St. Marys says a recent government decision is good news for passenger rail service. As it stands now GO and VIA passenger trains are limited to just 12 per day on the North Main Line because of conflicts with cargo trains.

A new freight bypass near Milton has been approved with construction set to begin in 2019. Once it’s finished more passenger trains will be able to run on the line.

All Aboard St. Marys says it will be keeping up its efforts on enhancing service for Stratford and the Stone Town in 2017 and will be meeting with both Mayor Dan Mathieson and Mayor Al Strathdee to plot a course of action.
