‘Getting There’ goes to Toronto

The issue of passenger rail service remains a hot one in the area.

Members of the Canadian Federation of University Women in Stratford joined Dan Mathieson in Toronto for a meeting with VIA Rail on April 2nd.

Sheila Clarke, Holly Barkman, and Louise McColl went with the Mayor to discuss the situation in Stratford with Dino Trubiano; VIA Director of Network Planning and Scheduling.

They conveyed the impact that cuts to rail service have had on business and tourism as well as students and the elderly.

More discussions will be held in the future.
