John Nater is pleased, but concerned, with the Canada 150 Community funding.
On the one hand the Perth-Wellington MP is happy that eight local projects are getting a total of $422,667.
On the other he says he’s disappointed that it took six months for municipalities to get responses to their applications as many needed the information weeks ago for budget deliberations.
Here is the list of approved projects for Perth-Wellington:
- $40,000 to the Township of Wellington North for the rehabilitation of Kinsmen Ball Park
- $109,000 to the Municipality of North Perth for Memorial Park Trails
- $21,667 to the Township of Perth East for improvements to Quinlan Park
- $21,667 to the Township of Perth East for the rehabilitation of Mill Street Park
- $57,000 to the City of Stratford for the rehabilitation of Shakespeare Park
- $23,333 to the Township of Perth South for the Sebringville sidewalk project
- $50,000 to the Town of St. Marys for the revitalization of Cadzow Park
- $100,000 to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame for the Collection Centre
