PDHU taking aim at smoking in multiple ways

The Perth District Health Unit is doing what it can to help smokers butt out.

The agency is launching a new initiative called “My Quit Moment” and the THINK team, a group of youths, is fighting for plain packaging. Adrienne Adas with the PDHU says My Quit Moment is a way for former smokers to inspire others:

My Quit Moment launches next week to coincide with National Non-Smoking Week. You can submit your story at the PDHU’s website. Adas adds says in the meantime there are ways you can get a start on butting out:

Meanwhile the THINK team is collecting signatures on a petition calling for standardized tobacco packaging. Only the brand name and graphic health warnings would be on them.
