Some provincial dollars are going towards local events. The money is coming from the Community Celebration Program which is earmarked for supporting communities celebrating Ontario’s 150th anniversary this year.
The United Way is getting just over $19,000 for its Commemorative Community Garden in Stratford. The ACO Stratford-Perth County is getting $10,000 for The Lives of the Grand Trunk Railway. Stratford Summer Music will see $25,000 for its Salute to First Nations Ontarians.
