Joint investigation leads to charges, recovers nine stolen vehicles

A joint investigation has so far recovered $280,000 in stolen vehicles in our area.

Back in August the Waterloo Regional Police starting working with the Insurance Bureau of Canada and the Toronto Police looking into the thefts of several vehicles. Some of them were taken from dealerships and registered with phony VINs.

With the help of the Stratford Police and the OPP the Waterloo Regional Police searched places in Kitchener and Wilmot Township two weeks ago today.

Kyle and Jennifer Stiller, both in their 30s, both from Wilmot, are facing several charges. Waterloo Regional is asking anyone who may have bought a car from these two to give them a call at 519-653-7700 ext. 8418 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
