Perth county council votes against funding hospice

Perth County council has decided to not help fund the Stratford Perth Hospice project.

The project committee was looking for $1.5 million according to a report in the Beacon Herald. That’s the same amount the City of Stratford has committed. The city is also kicking in an extra $75,000 to help get the project, which will be built in Stratford, started.

The committee has also asked the Town of St. Marys to contribute $300,000. It’s going to cost $6 million to build the hospice.

You can find more information about the project at the Rotary Club of Stratford’s website.
