The province has announced the amounts of this year’s gas tax funding for municipalities.
Stratford is getting just over $431,000 while St. Marys, which includes Perth South, Thames Centre, and Zorra, will get around $104,400. North Perth, Perth East, and West Perth will each be getting between roughly $74,000 and $77,000.
The government also announced that between 2019 and 2021 it will double gas tax funding from two cents a litre to four. Gas tax funding is aimed at improving and expanding local transit systems.
