MPP calls new natural gas funding a broken promise

Randy Pettapiece says natural gas needs action, not just announcements.

That’s the Perth-Wellington MPP’s response to the Liberal government’s announcement earlier this week of $100 million to build natural gas lines in rural Ontario. But Pettapiece points out that that’s a lot less than the $230 million combined that was announced in April of 2015 for the same thing.

He says the press release for that first loan program has since been removed from the government’s website. Pettapiece calls the new natural gas program the latest in a long line of broken promises from the Liberals.
