Concrete pedestrian crossings in Mitchell to be torn out

The new concrete pedestrian crossings in Mitchell are going to be ripped out. They’re less than a year old.

This comes as the crossings are already deteriorating and the town has gotten noise complaints. A report in the Mitchell Advocate says $120,000 has been allocated for the removal.

The concrete crossings will be replaced with asphalt.
