The United Way Perth-Huron is ringing in 211 Day by lighting a new bulb.
The newly lit bulb means the campaign has hit 80 per cent of this year’s $1.3 million goal. 211 Day, which is tomorrow, is a way of promoting the phone service. People in need of help can call and get a rundown of local social services that can address their needs.
The United Way brought 211 to our area five years ago. The service is also available online at this website.
