The Avon Maitland District School Board will soon have a new Director of Education.
The Board’s Trustees have voted to appoint Dr. Lisa Walsh to the role starting on April 1st. She will be taking over from Ted Doherty, who is retiring after spending seven years in the role.
Walsh brings 27 years of experience with her, and was honoured with a ‘Canada’s Outstanding Principals Award’ in 2011. Walsh says she is thrilled to join the team, and looks forward to working with people who are committed to helping students succeed.
