PED hits another farm in Huron County

Huron County has another confirmed case of PED.

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea has hit a finisher operation.

The nasty virus has now wormed its way on to 48 farms in Ontario.

This includes six in Perth, eight in Huron and nine in Oxford.

It has also spread to Manitoba, Quebec and PEI and has wiped out millions of piglets throughout the United States since last May.

PED is not contagious to humans and it does not impact meat quality.
