Hunters must have their own License

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says hunters need to carry their own licences and hunting IDS.

This comes after an incident in December, where a Goderich man used another person’s licence to kill a deer north of Clinton.

He now faces a $1,000 fine, while the other man could be charged $500.

In a similar crime, a Clinton man who used another person’s hunting ID after it had been left at his camp is also being fined $250.

The MNRF is reminding hunters it’s illegal to use someone else’s licence.
