Four vehicle crash in Huron County

A really bad attempt to pass led to a nasty crash in Huron East.

Police, fire and EMS personnel were called out Tuesday night to Kippen Road.

A southbound vehicle tried to pass the car in front.

This forced drivers in the northbound lane to veer on to the shoulder to avoid a head on collision.

A pickup truck turned into the southbound lane causing a four vehicle collision and sending an 80-year-old man to hospital.

The motorist who caused the carnage took off and police are on the hunt.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact the Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
