A final decision has not yet been made on removing concrete crosswalks in downtown Mitchell. A report in the Mitchell Advocate says a notice of motion was made at last Monday’s meeting.
Complaints about noise and the fact the crossings are already falling apart led to a discussion about replacing them at a budget meeting last month. That would cost $120,000.
Council will be gathering more feedback and will discuss the issue again at a meeting on March 13th.
