Coldest Night of The Year set for Saturday

Tomorrow is The Coldest Night of the Year, whether the thermometer agrees or not.

The annual Stratford/Perth ShelterLink fundraiser will get underway at 5:00pm at the Optimist Hall. Participants take walks of between two and 10 kilometres around the Avon River.

So far the event has raised about $21,000 of $35,000 goal. Stratford/Perth ShelterLink provides area youth between 16 and 24 who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, with shelter and basic needs.
