The Stratford Police and the Stratford Lions Club are teaming up.
The club has decided to be the prime sponsor of the stuffed animal program. Officers carry stuffed animals in their cruisers to give to children in situations beyond their control who need comforting.
Constable Dave Stewart says this new partnership will provide them with a constant supply of stuffed lions:
The stuffed lions are kept in sanitary bags until they’re needed.
