With World Water Day coming up on Wednesday the Perth District Health Unit is reminding people to test their wells.
The PDHU says now is an important time of the year to do it because the spring thaw is just around the corner. Bacteria can contaminate your well and make you or your family sick.
Private well owners in Perth County can have their water tested for bacteria free of charge. Test kits are available at the PDHU in Stratford, Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton and Listowel Memorial Hospital.
