Unemployment in our area is up.
The Stratford-Bruce Peninsula saw a jump from 5.2 per cent in January to 6.3 per cent in February.
That’s higher than the provincial average which went up from six per cent to 6.2 per cent in that time.
The Stratford-Bruce Peninsula saw 2,200 job losses in February split between 1,400 full time workers and 800 part time workers.
