Counterfeit $100 bills used in Woodstock

Someone’s passing fake $100 bills.

Woodstock Police say a man went into Rexall Pharmacy last Thursday afternoon and used the counterfeit currency.

Later that evening the same man passed phony hundreds at Staples and Long and McQuade’s. Police say when one of the cashiers was checking the bill with management the man tried to distract them by pressuring them.

The man is described as roughly 6’3”, in his mid-forties, clean cut with salt and pepper hair and a small patch of hair under his bottom lip.

If you know anything about these counterfeit $100 bills you’re asked to call the Woodstock Police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
