West Perth council has approved its 2017 budget.
It includes a residential tax increase of $13.45 per year on average for a house worth $225,000. Farmers will see an increase of roughly $243.
A report in the Mitchell Advocate says council voted in favour of the budget at last Monday’s meeting. Council also approved buying a new fire tanker that will cost around $400,000 and holding off on replacing the concrete crosswalks downtown with asphalt ones.
