YMCA awards Peace Medallion to Evan’s Touch the Truck

The Evan’s Touch the Truck organizing committee has won this year’s YMCA Peace Medallion. It was announced at last night’s Stratford-Perth YMCA Annual General Meeting.

Evan’s Touch the Truck is a yearly event in St. Marys that raises money for childhood cancer.  It’s brought in $50,000 for Childcan since its inception in 2011.  Ashley Agar accepted the award on behalf of the committee.

The YMCA also gave out five Faye Herbert Memorial Scholarships to staff members who are going into post-secondary education.
