The Local Community Food Centre is out on its own.
Since 2011 it’s operated under the umbrella of the United Way Perth-Huron. Now the Local has achieved its own charitable status.

It’ll still be offering all the same programs and continue to add new ones, like this year’s Canada 150 Commemorative Community Garden. An “Independence Day Celebration” was held Saturday to mark the milestone.
