The City of Stratford is reminding residents of what they can do with winter sand.
The city says throughout April and May any sand that has accumulated on your property can be raked to the edge of the road or street gutter. It’ll then be cleaned up by the street sweeper.
The city is asking people to help make the cleanup go smoothly by spreading the sand out in the gutter area. Don’t dump it in large piles in the gutter or along the road as that can cause water flow issues and is also a traffic hazard.
