Perth County Paramedics hosting VR training competition

Perth County Paramedics are on the cutting edge of technology.

This Friday they’ll be hosting one of the first Paramedic Virtual Reality competitions to be held in Canada at their headquarters on Douro Street in Stratford.

It’ll see teams from across Ontario compete against one another in a VR environment. They’ll be giving emergency medical treatment to the victims of a simulated disaster.

The agency was approached by VR Solutions to host the event. It’s a way to showcase how VR training can help smaller first responder agencies train for scenarios that would otherwise be extremely costly and time consuming to organize.
