MPP says Connecting Links funding a good start, more needs to be done

Some local projects are getting Connecting Links funding from the provincial government. Stratford will see just over $2.4 million to resurface Erie Street and Mitchell is getting around $395,000 to resurface Blanshard Street from Frank Street to Highway 8.

The Connecting Links program helps municipalities repair and maintain municipal roads and bridges that connect to provincial highways.

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece is calling the funding a “good start”. However he says the province needs to do much more to meet local infrastructure needs through stable, predictable funding.
