Deadliest snowmobile season in more than a decade

The OPP says it was the deadliest snowmobile season in 14 years. Across Ontario there were a total of 26 snowmobile deaths with 12 in February alone.

The OPP says speeding, not paying attention, and loss of control are the primary causes of half of those deaths. Of the victims 17 of them were between 45 and 64-years-old.

There were, however, no fatal snowmobile crashes in Perth County this season.
