Perth County OPP lay 174 charges during Easter campaign

The results are in from the Perth County OPP’s Easter Weekend campaign.

Officers laid 174 charges in total. Although the traffic blitz was focused on seat belt usage there were no seat belt related charges in Perth County.

Most of the charges were for speeding, coming in at 138. There were also five distracted driving charges and 28 other various Highway Traffic Act violations. Officers also charged one person with impaired driving and handed out a warn range suspension to another.
