Water levels higher than normal for this time of the year

The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority says water levels are high.

That’s thanks to a wet April that saw roughly 100 to 150 mm of rain. That’s compared to the normal amount for this time of the year of 80 mm.

Another 45 to 75 mm of rain is expected to fall on Thursday and Friday. That’ll make water levels, which are already between 0.5 and one metre above normal, go even higher. The UTRCA is keeping an eye on things and as usual is warning people to be very careful around area waterways.
