The redevelopment of the Cooper Block is taking a small step forward. An initial concept design has been presented to Stratford City Council.
Phase one of the plan includes the demolition of preservation of some portions of the Cooper Building, rebuilding the YMCA, integrating the university’s Student Life Centre and possibly adding some student housing. Consultations will be held this summer to get public feedback on the plan and how the downtown should evolve to serve the community’s needs.
