Students looking for summer jobs can get some help this afternoon.
Partners in Employment is holding a seminar a 4:00pm on resume writing.
Managing Director Deb Hotchkiss says she routinely speaks to parents about this issue.
She recalls a time when she helped a father realize his kid’s many employable talents.

She says today’s event will also touch on employer expectations.

As for job hunters, Hotchkiss says there is some good news.
One example was outlined by Dan Mathieson at the Mayor’s Breakfast last week.

Hotchkiss says when the unemployment rate is low employers often don’t even advertise new openings.
She suggests you make use of the contacts you already have in your job hunt.
