Stratford could get a new Tom Patterson Theatre.
The development is the result of a 20-million dollar promise from the province made during the opening of the Stratford Festival.
The current theatre is near the end of its useful life. The Stratford Festival wants to build the new theatre on the riverside site.
The Festival wants to see construction begin this fall with the goal of opening the new Tom Patterson Theatre in 2019.
